Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon

April 13, 2003. An unexpected trip to Las Vegas turned out be a ton of fun.
We'd never seen the Grand Canyon before, and now intend on returning to spend more time there!
Vegas of course, was Vegas... what more can be said!

The Hoover Dam. Sure, millions of people have seen it, but it's still pretty impressive

View of the Colorado River from the top of Hoover Dam. A bridge will be built spanning this canyon soon

The Grand Canyon, just before the fog started to roll in

Yes, there was snow there when we went. Ask Ken, he was freezing. Check out the little people on top!

A self-portrait from the tripod. Who's the one who looks cold? Who decided to wait 'til NEXT year to buy a GoreTex jacket?

Framed throught the trees

Obviously something was really funny...

It's just as impressive as everyone says it is

This fox was hanging out by the side of the road near the Canyon

He was very polite and stood still long enough for us to snap some neat shots

The Colorado River snaking its way through the Grand Canyon

Ken (still shivering)

The sun finally came out, as we were leaving

The long road home. Taken while driving at 80mph. Doesn't this look like a MS wallpaper?

Hoover Dam at night. 20 sec exposure, F9.5 ISO100

Back in Vegas, walking down the Strip

Colourful Excalibur, but no, we didn't partake in the game hen

New York or Vegas?

The 'cool' couple, in front of our hotel, the Monte Carlo

Water dance at the Bellagio

Ev doing her Claudia Schiffer impression

The pirate show at Treasure Island. Pretty cool fireball!

Flowers at the Bellagio Conservatory

How come our garden doesn't look like this?

Having dinner at the Bellagio Cafe. Gotta love Photo Stitch!
